New Clan Flags and Fixes Arrive in Iron Rebellion

Iron Rebellion, the VR multiplayer sci-fi mech shooter, has received an update on January 24, 2026.

The latest patch addresses several issues and introduces new features for the community. Key changes include improved mechanics for cloaked mechs, EMP interactions, and various visual and gameplay fixes.

Bug Fixes and Balance Adjustments

  • Cloaked Mechs: Cloaked mechs can no longer be pinged while cloaked. When activating cloak, they will dispel any existing pings.
  • EMP Effects: EMPs will no longer destroy turrets. Instead, turrets are disabled for 5 seconds. EMP targets gain a 15-second immunity cooldown after being hit.
  • Shields: Turrets are correctly peaceable while inside shields again.
  • Map Mechanics: Scanners can no longer be placed inside buildings.
  • AI Behavior: AI will no longer fire at turrets.
  • Reconnection: Reconnection logic has been improved and optimized to reduce disconnect issues.
  • Visuals: Smoke launcher textures are fixed on Quest. Mech tilting stutter is fixed, especially on heavy mechs over uneven terrain. Visual issues with Spitfires incorrectly using cockpit reflection probes are resolved.
  • Other Fixes: Cloaked mechs not appearing cloaked to other players is fixed. Reticle style in Gun Game is fixed when artillery was equipped prior to match start. A possible fix for dynamic objects rendering black in matches is included. Custom slot count algorithm is fixed across all game modes.
