Brigand: Oaxaca Update and Tombstone Prequel Alpha Released
On January 24, 2026, a significant update and new release has arrived for the challenging post-apocalyptic RPG/FPS Brigand: Oaxaca.
Set in Mexico, Brigand: Oaxaca is known for its high level of difficulty, branching storylines with multiple endings, and total freedom of action. Players are challenged to navigate the world with a high degree of agency, including the ability to kill friendly characters, rob stores, and move across rooftops.
Brigand: Tombstone Alpha Now Available
The highlight of this update is the release of Brigand: Tombstone alpha. This is a prequel story by Quadrajet, which had been on the author's hard drive since 2021. The alpha version is now available for download and has been added to the mods list in Steam Discussions.
New Features and Romance
Players can now see improved Bella romance by winning at Trivia Night at the Mosquito Net in the PANAMA expansion. This achievement can boost the relationship up to two times. Additionally, the Chinese PANAMA translation of Osito's dialogue has been improved.
Bug Fixes
The update also addresses several technical issues:
- Corrected the number of brew tanks in Echo's dialogue in the BATTLES map.
- Fixed a trivia question that appeared in two different levels in PANAMA.
- Resolved typos and dialogue inconsistencies in the PANAMA expansion (credited to Jacov).
- Fixed default Steam Deck controls (pending fix to be implemented tonight).
- Fixed TAB indentation errors in BSL scripts that were causing issues for user-made mods.
Players are also reminded of the upcoming deadline for the Brigand Voodoo Mod Contest.
